'Shelter From The Storm' - glass artwork

Shelter From The Storm is a dramatic fused glass artwork that captures the sense of energy and ever changing movement of a coastal storm. This seascape art is rich in layers, colours and textures and has beautiful hidden details to discovery such as uplifting messages etched into the paint surface.

Layers of glass have been fused together encasing the painted surface and delicate flecks of 22.65 Karat gold foil. After fusing in the kiln, the artwork is screen – printed with a fleeting flock of seagulls, adding to the beautiful sense of movement. 

This artwork is about finding hope in life's storms. Just like the ever-changing nature of the coast, tough times pass, and sunnier days are never too far away.
